Bible colleges and seminaries offer valuable theological training. But have students received the emotional and relational equipping in order to survive the criticism, sabotage, betrayal, mistrust, slander, political maneuverings, coalitions, transference, gossip, power struggles, etc. that exists in every ministry system? The Identity School curriculum is specifically designed to help each student discover his/her triggers through specific exercises and experiential learning. It is essential to receive ministry survival training in the early season of a person’s ministry so that potential dangers are recognized and disasters can be avoided. The sole purpose of the Identity School is to reduce the attrition rate of the next generation of career ministers.
"I was driven out of ministry because I was completely blind to my terrain. I was ineffective at setting boundaries and blind to the traps the enemy was setting for me. I wish I had had this course before I left and will carry this knowledge with me when I return." -IDS workshop participant
"Biblically grounded, theologically perceptive, experientially authentic, and practically engaged . . . this manual provides invaluable insights and tools that should be, but all too often are not, essential elements in the preparation of persons for ministry." --Manfred T. Brauch, Professor Emeritus of Biblical Theology, Palmer Theological Seminary

“We need to multiply this teaching. I am eager to see it made available, not only to our Pioneers’ global workforce, but to workers with other mission agencies as well. I believe the spiritual survival workshops will become an enduring and profoundly helpful dimension of our missionary training strategy for years to come.”--Steve Richardson (Director of Pioneers USA)
Cornerstone Christian Fellowship (West Chester, Pa. 19380) is the site for the internship. The BHAG (big, hairy, audacious goal) of this multi-racial, multi-generational church is to find men and women who are called to be pastors and missionaries, equip and prepare them for ministry and, send them with support and prayer into their calling. Cornerstone is a pioneering church, full of people who love to see new churches and missionary endeavors birthed and established.
This church commissions the pastoral staff to spend significant time equipping and supporting interns. The concept is simple: teach people who are called into ministry how to remain in ministry—to survive and thrive. The lessons that the pastors have learned over 20 years will be taught in 2 years. Their ceiling is to be the floor (the starting point) for the interns.
It is important to become acquainted and visit this church before making your final decision about the internship.
