Is This Internship For Me?
Is this internship right for you? It may be if you can make the following declarations:
[1] I believe I am called to a career in full-time ministry.
[2] I believe that pastors and missionaries are to be sent out (commissioned) by the pastors and elders of a
local church community. I need a local church community.
[3] I am open to learning and am teachable.
[4] I have reviewed Cornerstone’s faith statement and doctrinal distinctives (below) and agree with them.
[5] I am willing to live near West Chester, Pa. in order to participate in this two-year internship.
[6] I have completed or will complete an academic curriculum equivalent to a Masters of Theological
Studies Degree (two year full-time) at an accredited seminary.
[7] As the Lord leads and after my training, I am willing to plant a church locally or cross-culturally.
We affirm the faith statements declared in the historical creeds of the church (the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds).
We affirm that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, fully trustworthy and authoritative for life and faith.
We are called to live the Christian life by the power of God’s Holy Spirit (there is no other way) and believe that the spiritual gifts are to function in fullness for the purpose that the mission of the church might be fulfilled.
We believe church leadership is to be elder-run, servant and plural.
We affirm the biblical truth that every believer in Christ is a priest of the Kingdom of God and that the church is to equip the saints for works of service.

Faith Statement and Doctrinal Distinctives of Cornerstone:
We affirm the Great Commission as the missional goal of the church. We are called to proclaim the whole gospel (evangelism, justice) for the whole world
(local, global).
We believe men and women are to work together as equal and complementary partners in ministry and family beneath the headship of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are called to hold to the Word of God and allow the Holy Spirit freedom to move.
We hold to the following core values:
~To respect and value all people regardless of race, gender or age
~To stay at the table and work hard to build and maintain community relationships
~To establish a culture of learning and discovery under the headship of Christ
